Popular gospel comedian and cleric, Ayobami Ajewole, widely known as Woli Agba, has defended the efficacy of prayer following public backlash over the tragic demise of gospel singer, Toluwanisings. According to reports by THENEWSCREDIT, Toluwanisings slumped and passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Following the incident, family members and close associates initially kept the news private, holding an intensive 10-hour prayer session in hopes of a miraculous resurrection. Woli Agba had earlier urged the public to refrain from reporting the singer`s death while spiritual interventions were underway. The family eventually confirmed his passing late Wednesday evening. The outcome triggered widespread debate on social media, with netizens questioning why prayers failed to resurrect the gospel artist. Responding to the growing skepticism, Woli Agba expressed concern over the public`s dwindling faith but emphasized that divine miracles remain sovereign and exclusive acts of God. "We cannot just begin to disrespect miracles to feel like it`s something that everybody can have access to," the cleric stated in a video message. "Miracles are not like daily bread; that`s why you cannot tell any pastor to go to the mortuary and begin to wake people up. The fact that Lazarus woke up after four days doesn`t mean every other person will." Separating spiritual expectations from physical realities, Woli Agba admonished entertainers, creatives, and the general public to prioritize their health and well-being. Citing health advice from Christian leader Apostle Wole Oladiyan, he urged individuals to balance hard work with sufficient rest. "Give your body what it requires. This body is our container. Adequate rest is very important, and this is me speaking to myself and all creatives, actors, and musicians. I know we all just want to make money, but we need adequate rest," he concluded.
